Dane is an innovator, technical systems professional, and solutions-focused servant-leader in the affordable housing industry. His past work in the nonprofit sector focused on diverse stakeholder engagement and inter-sector collaboration to support research and development in environmental and health technologies, STEM education, and workforce development, as well as economic development and entrepreneurship.

  • Spokane County Emergency Operations Center (EOC)  |  Community Advisor ‘22

    • Served the EOC led by Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich as Permanent Housing SME.

  • Cancer Care Northwest (CCNW)  |  Clinical Research Finance Specialist ‘19

    • Served the CCNW Clinical Research Department, which supported patients and oncologists participating in clinical research trials to develop new medicines, devices, and treatments to improve outcomes and quality of life during a patients battle against cancer.

  • The Readiness Acceleration & Innovation Network (RAIN)  |   Chief Operating Officer ‘16-’18

    • Helped launch RAIN as a founding stakeholder-to-employee, supporting regional cross-sector collaboration with UW Tacoma, nonprofits, the City of Tacoma, philanthropy, and businesses to launch a successful community-based enviro/health technology hub.

    • Supported diverse entrepreneurs to launch startups from medical devices to food trucks.

    • Worked with classes and individual students to help foster young identities as innovators, develop marketable skill sets, and establish career-focused network connections.

    • Administered federal research and environmental grant funds.

  • Graduate Tacoma! STEAM Network  |  Board Member - Leadership Team ‘16-’18

    • The STEAM Network is an initiative dedicated to Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), access, interest, and success for all Tacoma students.
